Job Description:
We are currently recruiting Health Care Assistants for various Residential Care and Nursing Homes in Ipswich, Suffolk and Norwich, Norfolk area. Our clients, very high standard Nursing homes require a number of Health Care Assistants to work days and nights, As a Care worker, your role will be to support people in a residential service whilst ensuring that care is resident focused and that the residents’ dignity and privacy are maintained at all times. You are to carry out all duties in a safe manner having regard for the health, safety and welfare of self, staff, residents and visitors and report accidents as necessary.

All candidates must have the right to work in the UK and possess either a Care Certificate or NVQ Level qualification with over 6 months experience working in a care setting. You must have an in-date relevant mandatory training which must include moving and handling with proven clinical references

  • Hoovering, polishing, mopping floors, cob webbing, cleaning skirting boards, toilets, hand basins, baths, showers, windows & mirrors and/or as specified by the client.
  • Ensuring COSHH regulations are observed when handling cleaning chemicals.
  • Ensuring all health and safety policies are adhered to at all times
  • Ensuring the correct usage of cleaning products
  • Emptying bins ensuring ALL rubbish is taken out to main bin at the end of the shift
  • Maintaining high standard of hygiene and cleanliness at all times
  • Ensuring that cleaning schedules are followed
  • Restocking of hand towels, toilet tissues / rolls, hand soap dispensers

Previous proven cleaning experience of over 6 months is required within a work place.

  • To prepare and cook home-made meals with fresh vegetables cooked daily.
  • Ability to be creative and make meat dishes, vegetarian dishes and fish dishes
  • Offering creative nutritious meals, including soft meals and special dietary requirements.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety is important.
  • Assisting the Head Chef in ordering food.
